My contribution to women in STEAM
Empowering women in STEAM and creating space for new voices.

When I was young, I didn't have lots of female role models,
and it took me a while to realize that technology was my field.
That's why I decided to join Young IT Girls (YITG),
a non profit organisation focused on inspiring young girls into STEM.
💜 My roles:
- We did different activities in schools, high schools and other centers.
- I was part of the activities team: communicating with the centers to organize the activities.
- I was part of the web team: building our website
I was also a mentor in one of the editions of the Technovation challenge.
I was mentoring a group of young girls who built an application to solve a problem.
They decided to work on an app to help kids learn how to cook nutritive meals.
Seeing how some of the girls I spoke with already knew what they wanted to be when they grew up,
or hearing them say after the talks that they liked math a little more now,
was exciting and empowering for me as well!
